CLEAR ALIGNERS

 What is clear aligner therapy?

Clear aligners are thin plastic braces which are worn like gum shield to gradually put gentle pressure on the teeth to move them into the desired position. Following planning using computerised technology each aligner is worn for two weeks before the next in the series is placed. You will visit the practice for progress checks every 6-10 weeks.

A course of clear aligner treatment at Wetherby Orthodontics includes a digital dental scan and computerised planning, all the aligners including refinements, attachments and enamel reshaping if needed, appointments for adjustments every 3 or 4 aligners, fixed and removable retainers and one year of monitoring of your retainers. All treatment is carried out by specialist Megan Hatfield.

Mr B said about his aligner treatment "Just brilliant! Very pleased with my straight teeth!" and
Jojo talks on camera about why she loved her aligners.

Can Clear Aligners be removed?

Aligners are almost unnoticeable and can be removed for eating. For the best results, the alingers need to be worn for a minimum of 20 hours a day, but 22 hours a day is much better. We certainly see the best results in people who wear their aligners well.

What problems can Aligners treat?

Aligners produce a gradual change in the teeth. They is ideal for milder problems like irregular or spaced teeth, but the range of problems that can be treated is increasing, please book an assessment to find out if aligner therapy is suitable for you.
