National Orthodontic Week

The first National Orthodontic Week runs from 22nd-28th March 2010. Expect to hear the results of a survey into feelings and opinions about teeth.

To coincide with the week we are holding a special Ortho-Info Day on Thursday 25th March. If you have ever wondered about orthodontic treatment for yourself or your children this could be perfect for you.

During the day there are a limited number of appointments with Megan Hatfield for free initial consultation and an outline treatment plan. These are suitable for either adults or children. Full treatment planning, if requested, will require a further appointment, but this is the perfect way to find out what treatment might involve for you. Between 5.30 and 7.30 in the evening there is a free information evening. You can look around the practice, meet Megan and the team, and find out all about orthodontics and what it involves. Megan will be giving two informal talks at 6pm and 7pm. Please call in advance to let yus know you are attending so we can plan accordingly.

Orthodontic Treatments

General dental work may be required before any orthodontic treatment to ensure you are dentally fit. For younger patients we often (but not always) advise waiting until the adult teeth are through before carrying out orthodontic treatment. We are more than happy carry out initial examinations when patients still have a mixture of adult and baby teeth, as sometimes this can help to plan for future orthodontic treatment.
